RE: [mv] Compound Keys?
****** message to minivend-users from "Christopher Thompson" <ct@arborinternet.com> ******
I think Minivend likes the key in the first column. You could do the same
thing by putting an auto-number field in the first column and then
searching based on your code/column fields.

Subject: [mv] Compound Keys?
Hello List,
On a new project with over 4,000 items and several varations,
I have come up with a tentative data scheme. It seems that the
best design for this database is breaking the data up into several
tables. The issue that I'm concerned with is,
Can MV4 handle mySQL tables with compound keys, that is
two fields make up the primary key?
For instance code and column together make up a unique or primary
key, even though the data in code repeats.
code | column | seq
--------------------------
001 | 00004 | 1
001 | 00011 | 4
002 | 00011 | 2
