It is unlikely that Minimate is rearranging the entire contents of your 
products file; more likely, it is using an index (such as products.asc.8) 
to sort the display of the contents for editing.

In any case, you may want to use some of the sorting functions available 
for page construction, so that you do not have to rely on the native order 
of rows in your products file to control the listing order of search 
results, etc.
