I didn't use MV v4.03 long as it has a bug when adding multiple items to the
basket with a form, so I can't say that I have seen that error.

Is there some reason you are not installing the latest? Maybe it would solve
this problem.

Indeed! It mostly got there, until it came up with:

Configuring catalog x...x config error: Can't use an undefined value
as an ARRAY refrence at
/usr/local/mv/lib/Vend/Table/InMemory.pm line 123.
