Re: [mv] Interface to Progress RDBMS
****** message to minivend-users from "Spirit Walker" <corrosion99@hotmail.com> ******
John,
I am more in the process of doing this than actually doing.
Using the DBI interface and DBD-ODBC for access to Progress.
ODBC drivers for Progress can be obtained from Openlink software
http://www.openlinksw.com/ for most platforms. Merant is another source of
odbc drivers.
Openlink is the maintainer of iodbc for *NIX and I've had little problems in
the past getting the tools from them.
The progress V9 drivers must be built. This is the stage I'm back at since
we upgraded Progress.
DBI and DBD-ODBC can be obtained from CPAN if you don't already have them.
