[mv] ASP faster than Perl ?

Hi there !

we have performance problems mit minivend.

hardware:
pentium III-450 MHz
128 MB Speicher
software
Linux 6.0, minivend 3.14, mysql

if we make the directly compare to another shop, we want to move from a
windows nt machine with access to
the linux/minivend system, we got performance problems. for example if we
choose a category of 100 articles on nt/asp machine, we got a faster
response than from the linux system.

has anyone an idea how to get more performance ?!?!?! is this a general perl
problem, do we need more ram, because the nt machine is only a pentium
II-233 with 64 MB.
