Thanks Joachim,

This worked for the most part. I was disappointed that it wouldn't work as
follows:

<A HREF="/cgi/click2/click.cgi?id=[scratch random]&url=[data
table="products" column="url" key="[scratch random]"]" target="scriptwindow"
class=white>[data table="products" column="title" key="[scratch
random]"]</a>

This is a click counter that I have setup.

I ended up having to do this:

[if scratch random eq 001]
<A HREF=/cgi/click2/click.cgi?id=001&url=[data table="portfolio"
column="url" key="001"] target="scriptwindow" class=white>
<b>[data table="portfolio" column="title" key="001"]</b>
</a>
[/if]

[if scratch random eq 002]
<A HREF=/cgi/click2/click.cgi?id=002&url=[data table="portfolio"
column="url" key="002"] target="scriptwindow" class=white>
<b>[data table="portfolio" column="title" key="002"]</b>
</a>
[/if]

etc...

I guess MV doesn't like to parse inside a url string or another set of
quotes.

Try

[data table="products" column="title" key="[scratch random]"]
