To those using Frontpage,

Frontpage will also mess with other code like embedded perl etc.

Best answer is to avoid using Frontpage!
(Not that I am knocking it, but for code like MV it can cause headaches!)

If that is not an option, then as for this particular problem, use
[page [item-code]][item-field title][/page]
and FP should leave it alone.
