We've been having trouble with a Linux server that is running 
minivend 3. We're not really sure  whether any of the problems have 
anything to do with minivend per se, however we've observed the 
following behaviors:

if you do a ps, the entry for minivend has a bunch of blank spaces 
appended to it. the number of spaces is not consistent. a few days 
ago it was several dozen, today it is 9 (we restarted minivend in the 
interim, because the minivend server seemed to have completely 
hanged).

the http daemon occasionally seems to fail -- last week we discovered 
all the child processes had died, & no new ones had been spawned. 
don't know if that has anything to do with minivend or not.

the minivend server itself seems to spawn a lot more minivends, 
despite this being a very low load site. does it spawn a daemon for 
EVERY session?

Anyone who has seen ANY hinky systems behavior on Linux w/ Apache w/ 
minivend systems is cordially invited to chime in with any 
interesting observations or experiences.
