Rene,
There's something similar available on a web site I did. The prupose is to
send the seller of an item email from a potential buyer, without the buyer
or seller knowing (or finding out) each other's email addresses.
On the detailed item description page, we put a link like this:
<P><A HREF="[area href=send_email_id
form="
feedback_subject=Listing [value listingnr]
user_id=[value owner]
"
]">Click here</A> to e-mail the Seller (anonymously)</P>
This piece sets the subject of the message and the owner (seller) userid.
This
info is sent to the "send_email_id" form, which collects the message text.
That form also requires that the buyer, or person sending the email is
logged in so that we can get their userid from [data session username].
The "send_email_id" form provides a way for the buyer to fill out the
subject (a default subject is already filled in) and to enter their
message.
When this form is submitted, the collected info is sent to the "feedback"
form, which takes the data, uses the "form_mail" user taq to send the
mail and displays the results to the sender (which includes a copy of
what they sent).
The email received by the seller contains a link they can use to send an
anonomous reply to the buyer via the same method. The only email address
that shows up in the emails is that of the hosting site.
I've included the core of the "send_email_id" and "feedback" pages as
attachments. You'll need to add your own HTML header and footer tags.
Again, thanks to Mike H. for setting this up for us. It works great!
