Hi Russ
Hmmm...if I understand you right, there are some step like
- user order some items
- user goes into the check out
- user submit the "Place Order" button
- after success, (user get a receipt page and so on..) and the script
"payout.cgi" is called
but it does not get [sub-total]
Right?
How is the transfer of any variable to this "payout.cgi"? Via post or
get methode?
How big is this script? Is it possible to rewrite this as an UserTag?
After successfull "Place Order", the [sub-total] is empty! Why not try a
scratch variable to transfer the value to this script? For example:
- before submitting "Place Order", set the scratch variable like
[seti payouttotal][sub-total][/seti]
(BTW: Perl can't calculate any value _with_ any char like "$". Maybe
you have to use [sub-total noformat=1] instead?)
- after success, use [scratch payouttotal] instead of [sub-total]
Hmmm... Russ, there are a lot of way to post, get, transfer, tell, call, etc.
with and without values/variables to any external/nonexternal
software/script etc and a lot of possible cause of any failure. You have
to tell us more about your trouble. How did you try to call
"payout.cgi"? How did you try to give this script the value of
[sub-total]? etc.
I've not a crystal ball!
Regards,
Joachim
