RE: [mv] HTML editors
****** message to minivend-users from "Christopher Thompson" <ct@arborinternet.com> ******
I agree. For Windows, Arachnophilia is a great tool and free. It is one of
the few editors with a built-in FTP client which makes updating sites easy
and shortens the edit/preview cycle.
It has a simple macro feature (button, keyboard or right-click menu) where
you can put all of your Minivend tag templates. It also has an continuous
preview mode that updates the preview as you type, but I don't use it.
It has a HTML syntax checker that works fine if you use <a href="[area
...]">...</a> rather than [page...]</a>. The syntax checker reformats the
text which mangles both formatting and Minivend tags, but I just run it,
find the errors, undo its reformatting, then edit.
It has most of the features you'd want from and editor, and if everyone
followed the license the world would be a better place.
