[mv] problem with local price conversions

In order to modify the subtotal when i have a special discount, i use:

[if scratch discount_foo_exist]
   [discount code="ENTIRE_ORDER" interpolate=1]
        $s - [scratch total_discount]
   [/discount]
[/if]

Then to display this subtotal i use:
    [setlocale currency=fr_FR locale=fr_FR][subtotal]
    / <i>[currency convert=1][setlocale currency=eu_EU
locale=eu_EU][subtotal][/currency][setlocale currency=fr_FR
locale=fr_FR]</i>

the result is
     35 FF / -0.48 ?

The price in Euro is not correct,
do you know why the conversion is not correct ?
