[mv] Sorting Numbers

****** message to minivend-users from Sydney Urshan <urshan@nethollywood.net> ******

I can't believe that I asked this list 2 complex questions and
received the answers the same day! So here goes the third:

When sorting results by code numbers in Minivend, the first number is
considered. For example, 005678 comes before 321 (0 before 3). To
have it the other way, I have to add zeros - 000321. However, in
MySQL, it sorts the way I prefer, 321 before 005678, (the 00 are
stripped off in the calculation.) I had to renumber an entire mv
database (not using MySQL) to sort the way I wanted, but now there
are to many zeros: 00000321, 00000322, to sore before 01234555, etc.
My question is how to tell a mv search (without MySQL) to strip the
zeros and calculate the literal number like MySQL?

Thanks again,

Sydney Urshan

p.s. there's still an hour left to make 3 for 3!
