I'm new to the world of ecommerce and online shopping, so please
accept my apologies if I sound a bit silly.
As a website designer, I have been searching and testing out various online
shopping application for integration into my client websites.
After lengthy searched on the internet, I managed to track down Minivend (
ver 4 )
I downloaded the Unix version onto my local machine and then FTP it to my
hosting company with a view to install and test. I have a few problems so
I unzipped it local to my machine ( using WinZip ) and then FTP the minivend
installation files ( in binary ) to my clients account (
/usr/users1/<account>/cgi-bin ) on the hosting company server.
I went to install minivend onto the server remotely ( via ftp - apparently
the hosting company in there wisdom has denied access for telnet ). When I get
prompted to enter the directory to install minivend, I entered:-
/usr/users1/<account>/cgi-bin/minvend
Upon pressing return I got the message :-
cannot chdir to ./lib: No such file or directory
After this message, the installation terminated and I cannot
continue with the installation.
I have approached the hosting company for assistance, but again in their
infinite wisdom as dragging there feet to help.
Is there anybody out there who can give me help me with installing /
configuring minivend remotely ?
The hosting company uses:-
Perl version 5.004
Dec Unix 4.0E
Apache 1.3.6
