You mean like the cart contents?

I've users logging it at most any point (under 4.04). All of the
variables (at least as far as the shopping cart contents go) seem to
retain their values. This behaviour makes sense to me as you are, in
many ways, only adding to the sessioj variable list instead of replacing
it. Perhaps I'm not really understanding your question.
