I think what you are saying is that you want "mv_max_matches" except for a non-Glimpse database.

I mean the follwing:
There are 200 search results. I only want the first 50 to be visible.
If mv_matchlimit is set to 10 the display should look like
Back 1 2 3 4 5 Next
The other 150 results are not important...
