Hi,

I tried using chmod 4755 in stead of 755 but the only difference is that i'm
getting the original "500 Internal server error" in stead of "We're
sorry,......."

I really hope that someone has any ideas for solving this problem

That's the sticky bit.
Look at the file permissions, and compare using 4755 to 755.
