I've come across a few topics on the list, but don't have
faith that they are truly the answers.
The problem: I've been running MV 3.14 without much
problems (well, MV does tend to stop after a days use) but I'm looking past that
in order to run MV 4.04a. The 4.04a install seems to run fine until I get
to 'make test' where I'm presented with:
server/unixmode.......ok 1
server/startup........ok 2 link/unixmode.........not ok 3 server/inetmode.......ok 4 link/inetmode.........not ok 5 server/control........not communicating with server *** Exit 9 I tried this with 3.14 still on the server, got the error
messages. Then I deleted 3.14 as best I could, although because I'm on an
ISP, I can't do much with Tlink/Vlink, right? Is this an issue with
Tlink/Vlink, or something deeper?

DEC alpha box running Digital UNIX
