I had the same problem where I wanted to tag 3 items for sale out of
database of 1500+. The way that I had it setup originally was that each
item would have a 'sale' field containing the amount of the price break.
It woudl then loop through the database and if there was somethignin the
sale field it woudl process it... This started to take a *long* time. I
eventually hit upon the idea of using a seperate database containing the
skus of the 3 or 4 items I wanted to discount and the amount of the
price break. That way I only had to loop through 1 very very small
database. By using the [loop-data table field] foo I coudl use the key
results from the small database to reference the large one.

Mostly I'm relating this because the solution might not be in the way
you code the minivend but how you organize the data. I'm finding that
more and more of the problems I face can be solved through a more
complex data structure than a more complex code base. My feeling is that
this, while it may take more setup time, is actually easier to maintain
and faster to process. Just an idea...

Also, why the hell is LoA and Praga skipping Pittsburgh this tour? Do we
really smell that bad?
