[mv] Interchange problem

When I try to edit and item using the new akopia interface it does not pull in any of
the values from the sql table for that record number.
Here are some things I noticed:
Current KNAR settings -
mysql = yes
somesql=1
dbuser and root correct
When I change SOMESQL to 0 it pulls up the values for the record number using
item-edit, however, it converts all my databases to GDBM, and modifications are made
to those records and not to my SQL table.
Has anyone experienced this problem? How can I fix this, is it something within the
config for interchange???? Thanks
