Thanks for the response Christopher. I do have some logging in the form
of the session file. I did check that it's the same variable (
[total-cost] ) that appears to be changing values on it's own, and not
the actual variable changing.
Since the error happens at the final submission, the person is
already on the seperate secure server, so I don't think the server
switch is the issue (but I mentioned it as a variable just in case.). I
can replicate the error-- When people place orders of less than 10
items, thinngs are fine. They think they are getting a 35% discount and
they are. At 10 items and above, they think they are getting a 55%
percent discount, but their receipt and authorize.net say it's only 35%.
So I think the bug lies in either my understanding and coding using
the discount ALL_ITEMS system with the [perl], [calc] and [discount]
tags, or minivend's intepretation of my coding. :) The difficulty with
testing it is that I don't have a development server set up yet (I'm
setting one up today), so testing it out means charging a live card for
ordering 10 or more books-- not something I want to repeat a lot.
If I find the solution, I'll post it here in case someone else gets
into the same sort of bind.
Thanks again!
