[mv] MV3 - Calling CommonAdjust on the fly?

****** message to minivend-users from "Barry Treahy, Jr." <Treahy@mmaz.com> ******

We're using MV 3.14-5 for our distributor support system, we basically
provide on-line quoting to our disty's as well as allowing them to place
their quote to the factory as an order.

This has worked rather slick but I have found that I'm beginning ot back
myself into a corner and I'd appreciate any suggestions. The problem is
that when a model number and quantity is entered, depending on the type
of distributor, their purchase price is determined (I'm using
CommonAdjust along with an embedded usertag on the CommonAdjust
statement for this CommonAdjust pricing:q1,q10,q25,q50,q100,q200:,
;products:price, [disty_adjust]) and then below their quoted purchase
price, the FSRP for their location in the world is listed such as:

Delivery: Stk-30 days Qty 1-9 Qty 10-24 etc.
                               10.00 9.00

Where I'm now running into problems is that in every case to this point,
everyone had the same factory suggested retail price, which I pulled
from a resale.gdbm file using the data tag. I have a new line of
distributors that I'm bring on-line for our sister company and their
FSRP are different. I do not want to maintain a different resale file
just for them and I really do not want to hack my pages to handle their
exception because I may have more exceptions down the road.
Additionally, the next phase is to replace the links to these static
resale, pricing, and products files with SQL calls to our production
database so that I do not have to maintain them.

Is there a way when I using these tags that I can force them through
CommonAdjust so that they would be personalized for their region?

column=q1][/currency]

Thanks for any ideas!

Barry
