[mv] server won't start

Hello,
I just installed the new version of interchange as root but my server won't
start. I created a special user "minivend" for this.The catalogs are
recognised and work fine when I try to launch the server, there's only no
message that "the server started on PID 927" or so. I remember I solved this
problem whit the previous version by changing some permissions but I don't
remember which.
Has anyone an idea?
The permissions of the cgi-bin dir seem to be alright.
