Re: [mv] I'm losing session somehow

****** message to minivend-users from Todd Benson <todd@ehawaiigov.org> ******

Barry,

I looked into my pages to see if I was missing form tags around my continue shopping button
and I am not. What is strange is that I have the same shopping cart set up on two different
machines and one acts correctly (the one without SSL) and the other one doesn't. What I
have noticed is that the session id does get passed correctly from the basket page to the
page that appears after clicking on the Continue Shopping button. So I am not quite sure
that is the problem, but I am far from an expert. But what happens is that on the page that
appears after clicking the Continue Shopping button (we'll call it the post-Continue page),
there are hyperlinks that say 'buy me'. The minivend tag behind those links is:

<A HREF="[area order [item-code]]">buy now <IMG SRC="template/cart.png" BORDER=0></A>

On my machine that uses SSL for Cybercash, this AHREF evaluates to a new session id plus the
mv_arg number for this product. But on my non-SSL machine, it evaluates to only the mv_arg
parameter minus a new session id. Do you have an idea as to why this happens. The correct
session id is passed to the post-Continue page, yet a new session id is assigned within the
above HREF. I hope that I explained this well enough.
