[mv] Minimate won't let me login

I've had a catalog that has been working quite well. I recently made
some changes but it was only to the html pages. However, now when I try
to access minimate it never actually allows me to login.
I enter my username and password and it simply redisplays the minimate
login screen. There is no 'username not found' error or 'password
mismatch error'.
On other catalogs on the same server I can access minimate without a
problem.
On another server where I have an older copy of the catalog I can access
minimate without a problem.
I moved the catalog from the function server to the one I am having
problems on and I get the same maddening screen refresh and thats it.
The error logs don't reveal anything.
Has anyone had this happen to them before? If so how did you fix it?
