[mv] Question about: Some products have images, some do not

Hello all,

In my products file, some of my products have images and some do not.

After I have done a search in my products file for a particular product,
how do I test in results.html for whether or not there is an entry in
the image field?

That is, if I have an picture defined in the image field, I want to
display it, if do not want to display the 'broken images link' in my
browser.

I have tried diffent [if]...[/if] syntax around the IMAG SRC
statement,i.e.:

<IMG SRC="[item-field image]" ALT="[item-field product]" BORDER="0"></A>

I have tried things like:

[if value [[item-field image] ne ""] 
<IMG SRC="[item-field image]" ALT="[item-field product]" BORDER="0"></A>
[/if]


but I can not figure out how to check if the field is blank or NULL!

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
