hello,

problem is probably because your system needs some more memory. if you
have 128 or 256 MB, there can be a misconfiguration in your perl or
httpd for the user who runs the catalog or the one who runs minivend
daemon.
absolutely an upgrade should fix it.

if you have a shared hosting, possibly because of system restrictions
like we use based on domains.
