It's your code. Either increase your timeout or decrease the amount of process you are doing. You are
trying to pull a tank out of the ditch with a toyota tercel. My personal machine which I use for
development is a PII 400 w/ 128 megs of ram and our server is a dual 333 (Intel) w/ 512 megs of ram and
another 250 megs of swap space. Definitely up your ram to a min of 128 and increase your swap space. Your
use of MV has just ran you out of resources. My wifes machine is similiar to yours except she has a 266
processor and 125 megs swap and MV runs fine on it (I use it for development too :)  ) of course neither
hers nor mine runs with the loads of the Internet, that's what the smp is for.
