[mv] Main Page Layout Help

Wow leave it to the client to come up with those ideas you'd never think of.
Okay here are 2 layout senerios. they want to display certain items
on the main page randomly (which isn't a problem to figure out which
ones).
BUT the layout for the items is confusing, they want them layed out like this.
(just in case) The - and | represent table cells
