I do this all the time. You should compile the proper link program. If your
IP for the target machine is 10.0.0.1, do:

    bin/compile_link  -h 10.0.0.1 -p 7786

Make sure you set TcpHost properly with the source IP in the target
machine's interchange.cfg.
