[mv] MV 3.14 Oddities/Troubleshooting
****** message to minivend-users from Victor Nolton <ven@pragakhan.com> ******
The old minivend server was on a 350 mhz machine. it still runs SMALL
stores, and at one point ran big ones as well. It would need
restarted once a week if that.
The new minivend server is 800 mhz. We moved a few big stores over to
it. EVERYDAY minivend acts up. People get the message that we're
experiencing a high system load etc... This is the same machine that
keeps having problems with the validate credit card (yet it's valid).
My question is, where do I even go to troubleshoot this. I really am
at a loss for words on this. everything about this machine is much
faster than the other. More ram, more cpu, faster drive etc..
Is there something I should be looking for in the config. Clients are
getting ticked, and Im getting ticked cause the server keeps crapping
out during the day when orders come in the most, plus it's annoying
to have to keep restarting it. but I dont want to resort to
restarting it hourly.
Just looking for suggestions. I know with interchange I read you want
to set the httpd.conf with
MaxServers 0
Housekeeping 1
But this was in interchange. Im running minivend 3.14 (debating
slowing on upgrading). But Im looking for maybe suggestions on apache
tuning for this or somethign in the minivend.cfg .
Any help would be great. if you want to email me in private you may,
If I find somethign that works I'll post the solution.
