Actually, while Equifax may not be owned by Verisign, if I'm reading the
Thawte web page correct (checking something else out and stumbled across
it), Equifax is a "Chained CA" off the Thawte root certificate, and as
Thawte is now owned by Verisign......
Actually that's how Thawte got started - A chained cert off of Verisign so
it's not like it's unprecendented. Equifax is a good solution.
