[mv] 3.14 elsif problem

Using mv3.14...

In the snippet below, I've experimented with SEVERAL variations of the
[elsif] tag & cannot make it work.  I'm betting that there must be a simple
solution that I'm overlooking.  Any suggestions will be most appreciated!
