I posted the same question about two weeks ago and got nothing out of the list.
I used [item-modifier size] to map all my different tshirt sizes, but when it came to the unique weight of each size, I was unable to override the builtin weight from products.
I started all over, and defined each item in my catalog w/ a unique sku, anything that had to debited uniquely out of inventory, or anything that has a unique weight for shipping calculation is a different sku. In the end, I added a grouping field, blew off browse1 and browse2 in favor of a modified results page that returned a looping list of items that were grouped (ie xxl roots green shirt, med roots green tshirt, small roots green tshirt) and associated them with a single display page w/ a pulldown menu of all the skus associated with that group. I turned off all display of all items except one, so the searches don't duplicate and I have a co=yes on display=yes.
I'd love to hear how crappy this solution is and how much easier it could have been for me to impliment. If anyone has the time.
Mike
