I have seen this message before. You can delete session.gdbm, and the
server will start a new file the next time it needs to write some data, but
if you have any active users at the moment, their sessions will be
lost. Perhaps you could put the delete command in a crontab and do it
early in the morning:
05 3 * * * rm ~/catalogs/yourcat/session.gdbm
(this assumes you run the crontab as the same user as your catalog).
Try putting some stuff in a cart when logged on your site, then save and
retrieve some carts. If you get a error 500 after doing this a few times,
let me know, I have a patch, and it may also solve your expire problem.
