Re: [mv] How does Minivend 4 use Cookies?

Christopher,

I currently don't have cookie tracking on so I have no logs on this. I'll take a look into it though.

For debugging purposes, I display the appropriate cookie information on the webpage everytime I expand and collapse the menu system. According to the displayed cookie info the menu system works as advertised. If I expand the
entire menu system then click on any of the the links to do a product search, the menu system remains expanded as you would expect.

Where I run into problems is when the menu system is partially expanded. When I click on a link to to do a product search with the menu system is partially expanded, I get the products searched for with the proper menu outline
initially. However, if I expand another portion of the menu system, then click on another link to do a different product search, I lose that other portion of the menu system I just expanded. The cookie info shows that's the way
it should be, and that's the way it shows up, but it's incorrect. What happened to the other portion of the menu system I had just expanded? Is the cookie information lost? It's not! If I go back to the first product search, the
other portion shows up again. It seems as if the cookie info is tied to the page on which I expanded that portion of the menu system. It almost appears as if the state information stored in the cookies is different for each
product search.

Since this does not happen outside of Minvend, I'm wondering if Minivend somehow is updating the cookies for each product search?
