[ic] how does the session work?

I am interested in using the interchange sesson for another application
on the same website. I figure interchange already has a user db so why
not reuse it. Does anyone have indepth knowledge of how the user session
works and how it is created. When I veiw my cookies I don't see the
session cookie. Why is that?
