Try this:
http://www.christianbooks.com/cgi-bin/cb?%3B%3BCB2005

The %3b is the Hex for a semicolon.  It should come out right in your
logs.  Minivend should see it as a semicolon too.  It's the same idea as
doing %20 for a space.
