Re: Tag syntax - multiple ways?
****** message to minivend-users from "Kris Kelley" <sysadmin@jahoopa.com> ******
Okay, at the risk of beating a dead horse...
I think I have the answer to my original question, and would like to
present it, to make sure I'm on the right track:
[page example]
[page href="example"]
and
<a mv="page example" href="example.html">
are all acceptable, and will all be parsed correctly by the "new"
parser.
Actually naming the parameters ("href" in the above case) is not
necessary for simple, one-word declarations, but is a good idea when
using multiple-word values or embedded MiniVend tags.
Using HTML-style tags isn't necessary unless working with a program,
like Frontpage, that tends to tear up anything that's not actual HTML
code.
The "old" parser is not needed to interpret any of the methods of
syntax given above, and should be avoided unless absolutely neeeded
(which it probably never will be since 3.11 is my first exposure to
MiniVend).
Am I clear? :)
