Re: Is there a single reference for all MiniVend tags?
****** message to minivend-users from "Kris Kelley" <sysadmin@jahoopa.com> ******
Of course, after I posted my original question, I found the tag
reference. That'll teach me.
However, even the tag reference didn't list all tags, and I'm still a
little unsure about how a few tags work. My confusion isn't helped
when the documentation says something like "[condition] is only used
with a [if-explicit] tag," but in browse.html of the "simple" demo
catalog, a [condition] tag is used within a [loop-change][/loop-
change] pair.
I think I've figured it out, though, so I'd like to ask if this is a
correct interpretation of what's going on in browse.html:
[tag each products] creates a list of all the entries in the products
database.
[sort products:category products:artist products:title] sorts that
list, first by category, then by artist, then by title.
[loop-change 1] sets up a conditional that will be tested every time a
new category is found (the "1"st sort criteria).
[condition][loop-field category][/condition] sets up the condition to
be tested; in this case, whether or not there actually is a category
for this next batch of products.
[/loop-change 1] closes the area of HTML affected by the conditional.
Am I warm?
