is there a new way about sending a copy of receipt?

Hello Mr. Heins,
With the upcoming MV 3.12, is there a new way about sending a copy of
receipt to customer?
I know that the FAQ has the solution, and it will send a copy of
report.html to a customer with the payment information attached (though it
is encrypted).
