RE: Minivend Documentation
****** message to minivend-users from "Thompson-Jordan" <Thompson-Jordan@mindspring.com> ******
Thanks for the intro Mike.
There are already some volunteers, so I am not to only crazy one :-) It
sounds like Mike is going to set up a separate mail list for the
documentation project so we won't clutter this one with messages.
To pick up where Mike left off, I think first we need to evaluate the
current documentation to find out things like:
- in what form people are using it (e.g. one big HTML file, printed, local,
online),
- which parts work, and which parts don't,
- how it's generated
I think making a German version part of the process (both for the initial
revision and updates) seems obvious (other languages as well). Once that
input is in, we can start thinking about process, tools, structure, etc.
etc. etc. etc. Mike has already given me many good ideas.
Feel free to email me directly, although I prefer that discussion take place
in the mail list - in keeping with the open source spirit.
