Adding Item to Basket.

Hi all:
    Wanted to know if there was a  way such that I could click on an item link, and add the
item to my basket, however, not be transformed to the basket.html page?   I know that a few
of you have said that its not the greatest way of doing things, but my client wants it this
way...

    Also, anyone know if there is a way to totally by-pass the ordering process and do
something like Amazon.com's Quick Buy feature, where if you have already registered, and
have stored all of your information, it will automatically process your information without
confirmation?
