I'm using Postgres with my first shop now.
It seems to work fine. I like the text type, which  is handy for
some of the larger fields used by minivend to store lists.

I decided to use it, becuase it was easier to install and admin
than some other dbs on my SuSE Linux 6.0 box, which should be quite
similiar to RH5.2.

During testing, it works fine on a 486-DX100/32MB (server, no X11,...).
Yes, such hardware does still exist.
I wonder what it'll do Jan 1st, 2000. :-)
