SQL... other question.

Greetings...
The dilemma I am encountering now is that minivend looks for specific
fields inside the products table. The SQL server currently has a few other
tables installed, which contain the description, weight, and price... the
needed content for the products table.
I do not believe there is a way to create a link from lets say the weight
field in Products on over to the weight field in Someothertable. is there ?
if not.. i believe it would be most practical, as opposed to copying all
data into this new table, to modify the SELECT query it uses to obtain the
needed info.
how might someone accomplish this ?
