compile problem

I am getting the following error attempting to install Minivind-3.12 on a
FreeBSD 2.2.7-RELEASE system :

Compiliation of tlink.c FAILED.
done.
Can anyone tell me how I may fix this? MV compiles fine on other FreeBSD
systems of ours. None of them are running this pariticular version though,
if that matters.
