sell access to password-protected directories

Hello,
I've checked your FAQ and docs, and can't seem to find this answer...
I have a client who wants to sell access to parts of his site. Can
minivend be used to do this? Basically, a user shows up, puts in a credit
card number, and gets a password to access the directory. Has anyone done
this under minivend? Better still, can the passwords be made to expire
after X days?
