Thanks for your quick reply.
The error I had got in the past was something like: error no. 2, gdbm store
returned -1
But I get the thing with write and touch now (I had persistently switched
them around).

Now, I can edit for example the password-field with this:

[tag flag write]userdb[/tag]
[tag touch userdb][/tag]
[data base=userdb col=password row=gideon@swingmaster.nl value="mypassword"]
[tag export userdb][/tag]

And this works fine.

Now if I do this:

[tag flag write]userdb[/tag]
[tag touch userdb][/tag]
[data base=userdb col=code row=gideon@swingmaster.nl value="mynewusername"]
[tag export userdb][/tag]

Nothing happens at all (no errors, but the code, gideon@swingmaster.nl,
which is the username to be changed, stays the same)

Do you know what I could be doing wrong ?
