Hi! I'm new to Minivend, I read an article about it in LinuxJournal, June edition and I was amazed. My employer asked me to establish a new shopping cart on our NT-based webhosting service, I decided to use Minivend for many reasons. That's not why I'm writing this... it's because I have a bunch of questions. I know Minivend has it's own database intregrated, would it be faster to connect it on the MS-Access database we have with the webhosting service? I heard Minivend doesn't work with Win32 ODBC driver, is that true?.I suppose that's what my ISP's using. Would it be better to use MS-SQL? I tried to convince my boss to use a UNIX-based solution but it wouldn't want to. :( I heard about PGP encryption of the database, I suppose it is safer than on a MS-Access database :) I don't know if I could use the PGP encryption on an NT platform, anyone have done this?
