My memory is a little sketchy on this, but I remember that the first time I
sucessfully started up Minivend (which you did as well, acording your
startup message) I got the same "internal misconfiguration error." I
changed the permissions on a couple of key files (the CGI perl file for my
catalog for sure) to 755 and the problem went away.
